December, 2025

Just a few months ago, we shared the story of our first collaboration with EightySeven at their PropTech conference in Belgium. Today, we're excited to report that this partnership has grown beyond our initial expectations, with Augment becoming an increasingly active presence in the Belgian and Luxembourg PropTech ecosystems.
Reverse pitch event
On November 27, our team attended another EightySeven event in Brussels, where the focus was on the practical challenges facing the industry today. The session featured a reverse pitch format where asset managers and property managers shared the daily challenges they face, from managing ESG compliance and reporting to balancing predictive maintenance with cost efficiency, engaging tenants digitally, and rethinking mobility, parking, and community amenities. These conversations reinforced the value of EightySeven's approach: creating spaces where the real problems are voiced first, allowing startups to respond with targeted solutions.
Luxembourg Afterwork
Most recently, our CEO and Founder Rida Klink took the stage at the Luxembourg Afterwork event on December 4th, hosted by EightySeven in partnership with Schroeder & Associés and atHome Group. The event brought together leaders in construction and real estate to address "the gap between the world we build and the world we live in."
Rida's presentation, titled "The real frontier is retrofitting the buildings we already have," struck at the heart of a critical industry challenge. While much of the PropTech conversation focuses on new construction, Rida reminded the audience that the real opportunity lies in the 80% of buildings already standing.
The gap in information is staggering: most existing buildings don't even have accurate plans. As Rida explained, digitizing these buildings now takes just weeks, unlocking smarter maintenance, better operations, and true digital twins for the vast majority of our built environment.
The evening brought together diverse perspectives from across the construction ecosystem. Marco Da Chao from Schroeder & Associés S.A. emphasized that despite rapid advances in AI and digital tools, strong organizations remain fundamentally people-driven. Marko Mihic Jeftic from buildbuild highlighted how automation will reshape construction by freeing skilled engineers from administrative tasks to focus on problem-solving and leadership. Quentin De Man from CDCL stressed that misinformation costs construction projects 10-15% in wasted resources, while Denis Ory from Fonds du Logement demonstrated how practical innovation like drone scans and real-time data saves public teams significant time and resources.
Continuing the momentum
This week, our team is preparing for EightySeven's End of Year Event & Community Trophies 2025 on December 11th in Belgium. This gathering brings together over 100 founders, CEOs, investors, innovators, and ecosystem leaders for an evening of insights, connections, and celebration of the teams shaping the PropTech industry in 2025.
Events like these show why the EightySeven partnership has been so valuable: they create spaces where conversations turn into opportunities, and where the community comes together to drive the industry forward. Each interaction reinforces what we learned from our first EightySeven conference: the market is hungry for solutions that make buildings smarter, greener, and more people-centric.
Why this partnership works
The expanding collaboration with EightySeven reflects a shared commitment to action, not just conversation. EightySeven has created something unique, which for Augment has meant access to the right stakeholders at the right time, allowing us to demonstrate how our digital twin technology addresses the specific pain points facing facility managers and asset owners today.
The reverse pitch format that EightySeven fosters has been particularly valuable. Hearing directly from asset and property managers about their daily challenges has helped us ensure we're solving problems that matter most to the market.
The PropTech ecosystem thrives on collaboration between startups, corporates, and ecosystem builders. EightySeven has proven to be an invaluable partner in creating those connections, and we're excited to see where this momentum takes us next.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our mission to bring facility management into the digital era.
