Proof, filed properly
Nothing was ripped out. The building still became a digital twin.
GigaConcept builds the wireless components other people put in buildings — antennas, gateways, sensors. Its own headquarters in France ran on paper plans and on controllers that had been in place for years, with nothing joining the two. This file is the account of how they were joined.

Context
GigaConcept makes wireless components and IoT systems — antennas, gateways, sensors, custom RF hardware. Its headquarters in France holds three kinds of building at once: offices, a warehouse and a workshop. A company that spends its days instrumenting other people’s buildings wanted the same done to its own.

The problem
The plans were on paper. The controllers had been in place for years, and they worked. What neither could do was say what the building was doing right now. Replacing them was the wrong answer twice over — the controllers were not broken, and the plans were not wrong. What was missing was a place where the two could meet.

The work
The site was captured and modeled in BIM — offices, warehouse and workshop in one 3D model. The model went into Wiretwin as an operational digital twin, and the sensors were positioned inside it: every reading tied to the equipment it measures and the room it sits in. The controllers already on site were interfaced, not replaced. Maintenance, inventory, hardware monitoring and reporting run on the same record.

The outcome
Capture took hours and the twin was ready days later. Air quality and energy report themselves, maintenance and cleaning are planned against what the building is actually doing, and the reporting that used to be assembled by hand assembles itself. The controllers are exactly where they were.
The BMS controllers have been in place for years. There is no need to change everything, but it is essential to be able to see them and steer them remotely, from a modern interface.
